Our Vision and Values
Our vision is simple - provide a great education for every child. This vision is the same for every school in the Castle School Education Trust (CSET).
Our three school values of 'Be Excellent, Be Courageous, Be Kind' are fundamental to every day at Lyde Green, and they are lived by the children and staff to the best of everyone’s ability. By demonstrating, promoting and celebrating these values, the whole school community works and drives in the same direction towards a common goal.
Be Excellent
Where we are excellent, we give our very best to every situation. Excellence looks different for different people, it’s not about being the best, but about being your best.
Be Courageous
Sometimes life is difficult and we need courage to tackle and overcome challenges. We will need courage in many different situations, including starting something that we think will be difficult, trying again where we have not been successful the first time, or perhaps speaking up either with an opinion or standing up to something that does not align with our school values.
Be Kind
We can be kind not only to others but also to ourselves and to the places and world around us.
Kindness to others is more than being nice, it is acting with generosity and consideration of the feelings of others, without expecting anything in return.
Kindness to ourselves means not being overly critical or harsh on what we have done or not done and ensuring that we give ourselves time to relax and also spend time doing the things we enjoy.
Kindness to the places around us means we take care of the environments in which we work and play. We treat all places and items with respect and keep them tidy.
