Friends of Lyde Green (FOLG)

The Friends of Lyde Green Primary School (FOLG) is a parent run committee.   Like other committees it is made up of a Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. There are also regular committee members, consisting of parents and a link with school staff.  

The committee is elected annually at the first meeting of the new school year. FOLG welcomes all new members to the committee with great enthusiasm and it is a great way to meet and get to know others in an informal and fun way.

All of FOLG’s activities and events are kindly organised voluntarily by the FOLG committee and contact regarding FOLG events should be made directly to FOLG lydegreenfriends@gmail.com

We are very fortunate to have this organisation, which has played such an integral role in the school community. The funds raised in the main will be used for the ‘extras’, which are not covered by the school budget. This will help Lyde Green School to be the stimulating, exciting and enriching environment we all want for our children.

How the money is raised

All the money FOLG raises is through events that they run. Regular events include:

• Discos 
• Movie nights 
• Christmas tree sale
• And more recently Quiz nights 

As you can see there is always something going on. We try to keep the events varied and interesting for all those who attend.

The Friends contribute to the school newsletter and they also have a Facebook page
